  1. SMART Technologies has announced the first large scale viewing of the SMART Table, the world’s first multi-user, multi-touch table at BETT 2009. Specifically design to support collaborative learning from pre school to Key Stage 2 the SMART Table will be on show on the SMART Technologies stand B50 at BETT 2009.

In 1991, SMART introduced the world’s first interactive whiteboard. Today, SMART continues to set the standard in innovation with this revolutionary collaboration station that pushes the boundaries of traditional teaching methods.

The SMART Table is the world’s first multi-user, multi-touch table that allows children to interact with collaborative applications, lesson activities and games that are ready-to-use. Measuring approximately 29 inches wide and 25 inches high (73 cm high and 65 cm wide), the unit includes a 27-inch (on the diagonal) multi-touch-sensitive screen and an integrated PC and projection system. Designed for early childhood education and primary schools, several children can touch the screen with fingers or pens at the same time making it an engaging, fun and intuitive learning activity centre that promotes collaboration.

  2. erm, thanks Sue.

Maybe it would have been better to have sent that to me direct and asked me to post something about it rather than post it as comment spam on a post that isn’t really related to interactive tables? Doing it this way seems a little rude.
