There’s several ways to display your iPad onto your interactive whiteboard screen. I’ve written about a few ways to do that in the past., and wrote about the AirServer app yesterday. Reflection is an app that others have mentioned to me, but as I don’t have a Mac I’ve been unable to use it. Now there is a PC version available, so I downloaded the trial and had a look.

I’m very impressed at the ease of install. I had my iPad screen up on my computer screen in seconds. Once installed, double tap on the home button on your iPad and slide to the left. Click on the AirPlay icon, select your Computer name and turn mirroring on and your iPad screen will appear on your computer (and so also your interactive whiteboard if you have one connected). Both devices need to be connected to the same network for this to work.
I was able to show any app I was running via Airplay Mirroring, even video from BBC iPlayer with the audio coming out of my PC speakers. Very impressive.

Couple this with a notation app such as Notability and you could use it as a basic IWB.
Download reflection from here : https://reflectionapp.com You can get a limited trial version for free, and a single user version is $15/£10.

I have downloaded the reflection app and found it to be extremely useful. I love the idea that i can mix and match between an app and the PC. It was very simple and ‘just worked’. I would recommend as well.
