Explain Everything is an easy-to-use design, screencasting, and interactive whiteboard tool that lets you annotate, animate, narrate, import, and export almost anything to and from almost anywhere.
I’ve written about using the iPad version for digital storytelling in the past, and now it’s available as a Windows 8.1 app.
Explain Everything allows you to create slides, draw in any color, add shapes, add text, and use a “laser pointer”. Rotate, move and arrange any object added to the stage. You can then record and playback your screencast.
It’s great for teachers to record short explanations for different topic areas which the children can use for revision. But even better it’s simple enough for the children to use to make their own guides and topic summaries.
