The Interactive Periodic Table of Elements, is a neat little website that allows students to explore the periodic table and find out about all the elements.

The table shows the name, symbol, and atomic number of each element and in addition it illustrates the main ways in which we use each element in our everyday lives. There’s no Flash involved, so will work fine on iPads.

As well as the interactive version, the site also provides a number of different PDF and Printable versions, with images and words, and a one page summary with all the different uses of each element.

It’s a great site for science teachers to have bookmarked. It’s nice and visual and provides a wealth of useful information. Take a look.
