Using iPads creatively
This is a hands-on workshop in which course participants will use a selection of apps (free and paid) to investigate creative ways of presenting information as an alternative to writing up work. There will be an opportunity to learn about cross –curricular ideas for different subjects such as presenting the findings of science experiments or the life of a historical character. The type of apps used will include talking heads, digital puppets, video creation, comic strips and making e-books.
A list of apps will be sent over in advance for teachers who wish to bring their own iPads and install the apps before the session. (See this list for examples.)
The course is designed for teachers who have a basic understanding of how to use an iPad who want ideas and inspiration for ways to use iPads with their pupils.
All of my Ipad Courses are bespoke depending on the needs of your teaching staff and the resources you hope to use.
Sessions can be Key Stage specific or cross-phase ideas. I also endeavour to make the sessions as cross-curricular as we can, if you supply me with topics prior to the session we can put together relevant activities.
Courses can be whole day/half day or twilight sessions and can be tailored to your needs.
