Charanga Music World is a unique new way of learning an instrument online. The website Combines interactive gaming, music-related quizzes and videos to support 7-12 year olds learning musical instruments.
The learning materials in Charanga Music World have been developed by some of the UK’s leading educators, and cover 24 instruments from absolute beginner through to the first ABRSM Music Medals exam and beyond.
Instruments available include guitar, piano, violin, ukulele and keyboard and allows users to create their Avatars and work their way through the various levels which encourages practise.
Charanga Music World supports children either learning an instrument as part of a whole class ensemble or for those wishing to practise their instrument at home. They can play along to an extensive library of backing tracks including music genres from around the world such as Latin, reggae, rock, urban and Western classical styles.
Charanga Music World is available for free to UK primary schools who engage with their local Music Service/hub or free to pupils whose music instructors already have a license.
