ExpeRimental provides a series of short films that make it fun, easy and cheap to do science at home with children aged 4 to 10.

The resource from the Royal Institution gives parents and teachers lots of ideas for kids’ activities that will help them explore the world around them, question and experiment together.

The guides show you how to do the activity and how to make sure adults and children get the most out of it.

Each activity is designed to be easy to do using only common household objects. Initial activites include rubber band cannons and home-made lava lamps with more activities to be added over the Summer.

All the experiments focus on encouraging natural curiosity and investigating the wonders of science while you play.

ExpeRimental launches on 17 July with a new activity video plus additional resources being added every Thursday throughout the summer holidays
