University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Ed Games website hosts a variety of free PowerPoint, Word, and Excel games that are really easy to use on your IWB to add quizzes to motivate your students. Many of the games are easy for teachers to customize with their own content.

Once you have customized the game, you can save it for future use and also share it with other colleagues.  There are also some games that are ready to use without any modification.  Many of the games replicate popular TV shows like Jeopardy, Pyramid, and Guess Louie (No idea what that is, think it’s an American thing!).

Unlike some PowerPoint games available on free the web, all of these games are trade mark free and copyright clear. So you should have no worries about using trademarked or copyright protected images and sounds without permission.

Jeopardy

These games will work well on any interactive whiteboard – and since they use Microsoft Office you shouldn’t have issues if you change the type of IWB you use in the future.

The resources are free to use, with additional resources available on a premium site if you like what you seen.
