I wrote on twitter at the weekend wondering why there isn’t a Google Earth-style application for the body. With all the information and imagery at Google’s disposal I’d love to be able to take a tour around the body and it would be excellent for Biology teachers.
I then received a tweet pointing me towards an application called Pocket Anatomy for the iPhone and iPad which is almost there. Although not free like Google…
Interestingly you can access a free demo of Pocket Heart on their website which will work in a regular browser (with a free plugin download) – would be good to demonstrate some of the features of the human heart quite nicely.
Of course don’t forget that if you want to show the heart beating – then check out HyperHeart, which is still one of my favourites.
And I must keep chanting, I don’t need to buy an iPad, I don’t need to buy an iPad….
