Online Logo is a simplified online version of the programming language Logo, which can be accessed via a browser. Children can use it to draw shapes by moving the turtle (arrow) around the screen using the simple commands.

By moving the turtle around the screen the children can learn about lengths and angles while creating diagrams and patterns. By using the repeat command children can draw shapes such as hexagons, pentagons etc giving them an understanding of the angles involved with each shape. It’s a great way to create a cross-curricular link between coding and mathematics.

The site contains a set of activities that give the children different challenges to solve using their Logo skills.
