Making a Magic Paper Starter in Smart Notebook

If you’re looking for a quick idea for a lesson starter when using your Smartboard, then check out this Magic Paper technique.

This activity always goes down well when I show it to teachers during my training sessions. It looks very clever, but is actually really simple to produce. It works with any situation where information comes in pairs – questions and answers, dates and events, words in two languages etc.

With the words on one side of the screen, the questions are visible and the answers are hidden. To reveal the answer (or opposite word) drag the word over to the other side of the screen.

This pdf file explains how to do it.  Or watch this video.

If you like this activity, you can get many more in my book: Get the Most from your Smartboard.
