Google Maps Now Lets You Explore the Solar System and the ISS

For a while now, Google has let you explore the Moon and Mars alongside planet Earth. Well now they’ve added a whole new level of places to visit with “Space mode”. This includes planets such as Mercury and Venus, dwarf planets Pluto and Ceres as well as moons such as Io, Europa and Enceladus.

It also provides a tour of the International Space Station.

It’s great fun, and would be a useful addition to any science lesson on the Solar System. The models use some of the most recent images from NASA missions such as New Horizons, Dawn and Cassini.
